| PASA. Spanish for happening. Know that somewhere, someone is being abused at this very minute. Those of us that are victims tend to cover it up, whether through shame, embarassment, or fear. Why do we let it go on? Why do we stay with the abuser? Physical abuse is damaging, but emotional and verbal abuse can leave lifetime scars. Scars that may never heal. One in three women will be abused at some time in their life. Only 18% of women that are abused report the crime. Why? That is why this site is being developed. So those of us that continue to experience abuse, and those of us that have taken the steps to stop it can talk, laugh, cry, and share....please stay and give us your time and insight..... A Decade of Pain....

| As I sit here, looking out the window and trying to dig back into the memories and pain of my past abuse, I realize that I have also been an abuser. My story spans more than a decade, and takes in two marriages and three children.
